Nicolas Fattouh

Founder & Director

Nicolas Fattouh is a theatre artist, visual artist, and animation director living between Lebanon and Canada. He has participated in over 30 local and international art exhibitions and auctions with his paintings, sculptures, and installations, including at Bonhams (London) in 2016.

Passionate about storytelling and drawing, he pursued his education in 2D/3D animation at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts, graduating with a master’s degree (valedictorian) in 2017. His first professional animation “How my Grandmother became a chair” won the Filmprize of the Robert Bosch Stiftung at the BERLINALE and was later selected in 135 film festivals around the world.

In 2023, Nicolas founded the Beirut Animation Nights festival, with its first three editions hosted at the historic Royal Cinema and featuring workshops and masterclasses in collaboration with ALBA University. Year after year, the festival has grown and evolved, becoming one of the leading animation hubs in the Arab world.
